To visit Dubai, a visa is needed, and this article will explain the step by step and documents needed for the visa tourism application.
Get sponsors
You are required to get a sponsor before applying for a Dubai visa. Your sponsors can become relatives, friends who currently live in Dubai, Hotels, Airlines, or travel agents.
Applicants must note that without a sponsor, the visa application will not be processed.
For hotel sponsors, you can contact the hotel of your choice that you are interested in lodging and ask if they offer visa services. This should not be a problem because most Dubai hotels offer this unique service.
For airline sponsors, it is recommended to use Emirates or Etihad
For travel agent sponsors, only Dubai -based agencies are asked to act as sponsors. It should be noted that prices vary between institutions.
Determine the type of UAE visa you need
UAE offers three types of visas and they include UAE transit, UAE visit, UAE work visa, UAE residence visa, UAE student visa, and UAE tourism visa.
For the purpose of this guide, we will discuss the requirements for tourism visas.
Below is an overview of three types of visas
Visa Transit: This type of visa is valid for 96 hours for 14 days starting from the day you issue a visa, and remember (a) you have a valid passport and your next goal is confirmed or (b) you agree to go UAE in the arrival of 96 hours Determined or 14 days after you issue a visa, or (c) you have a hotel reservation in a confirmed UAE.
Visit Visa: This visa must be sponsored by friends or relatives who have lived in the UAE. This visa is available for 30 to 90 days.
Tourist Visa: This visa category is under sponsors from UAE Airlines, travel agents, and hotels. Tourists issue this visa can stay in the UAE for 30 days.
Prepare your document
There are not many documents needed for the Dubai Visa application. However, more requirements may be needed from you depending on who your sponsors are. For example, if Etihad or Emirates will sponsor your visa, the required documents will be your flight details in addition to the rest of your application.
The following are the basic document requirements for the UAE visa:
- Photocopy of your valid passport scanned (last page and page two)
- Two Passport Size Photos
- The application form that is filled in
- Visa fee
Prepare additional supporting documents
Your sponsors may require more documents from you to be able to process your application, and here are some additional documents that you might need to give.
- Flight tickets (airline sponsors will request flight bookings under their airlines)
- Hotel Reservation (If you are sponsored by the hotel, you might be asked to provide hotel reservations under their hotel)
- Employment contract
- Original bank certificate
- NSO Born in NSO (this is a mandatory requirement, especially when you travel with minors
- A copy of the return on scanned income tax (ITS)
Send your application to your sponsor
After giving all the requirements documents, you must forward it to your sponsor to take care of the rest.
